The time has come for you to visit Athens - zoological gardens – “The Attica Zoo” (ww.atticapark.com).
Apart from the fact that the animals come out of hiding, another important reason for choosing this season is the fact that few schools visit at this time. Therefore, quietness prevails while the animals have a deeper curiosity as to who is watching them!
It takes approximately 2 hours to go round. There is a coffee shop at the exit where you can have a snack and some refreshments.
Note that as the zoo is a wide expanse of terrain and not enclosed it is best to choose a day when there is no wind or rain.
It is recommended that you dress warmly with hat, scarf and gloves. You will see the amazing animals in the park – from the “big cats”, the multicoloured parrots, lovable monkeys, lions, panthers and giraffes to the sweetest group of rabbits that run freely in the park.

For Kids & Families: Zoo Park – Allou! Fun Park – Shopping 8 Hours
Go for shopping to IKEA near the airport (2 hours) (www.ikea.gr) , followed by a visit to the Zoological gardens at Spata (2 hours) and thereafter on to the Fun Park at Renti (1 hour) (www.alloufunpark.gr). After that, more shopping in either Athens or Pireaus. The IKEA shop covers 25,000 square meters where you will find all your household needs.
